Outrides
The stable
yard and fields are set against a backdrop of mountains, and the vast nature reserve
of Malolotja. Our longer trails go into the actual reserve which stocks a vast
array of antelope, game and wildlife, and even a few elephants. The views are
magnificent, with huge mountains and deep valleys surprising you at every turn
with landscapes, rivers and waterfalls. The diverse birdlife will keep you entertained
as the lines of the horizon draw your eyes, and thoughts, farther and farther
away from city life and ever more into the bushveld of the past, and now our future.
With the sun in your face, and the wind in your hair, let our horses lend you
a taste of freedom. Come ride with us!
1-2
hour rides
Our relaxed rides will take you down gentle hills, along a
river and through some of the more wide open landscapes of Swaziland. The pace
is usually kept to a walk, allowing you to unwind, let your hair down and breathe
in the fresh clear air of the mountains.
Day
and picnic rides
These exciting longer rides take you to a dam with a
waterfall, through a lush green valley, or even farther afield into the neighbouring
nature reserve of Malolotja. Here you can see blesbuck, kudu, nyala, impala, wildebeest
and if you're lucky an elephant or 2. The longer flatter areas of smooth veld,
and an occassional gentle hill lend themselves to an energetic canter with quite
a few areas that are safe to trot giving the more experienced rider a chance to
let off some steam, de-stress and relax into the magnificent views of the highveld
of the Kingdom of Swaziland.

Our Horses
Our horses
are gentle, loving and friendly and hold top priority in our yard. They are responsive
and easy-going, comfortable to ride and all have soft mouths. Breeds include the
South African Boerperd, Arab, Thoroughbred and Warmblood, most being cross-bred
for strength, character and hardiness. We are also breeding for the future and
usually have a foal or 2 around.
Tack
We mostly use deep-seated trail saddles, but also have English saddles available.
All saddles are supplied with sheepskin seat-savers. Our tack is kept in excellent
condition by our dedicated staff.
